Day 01
Colombo

Begin your tour with a relaxing day getting to know the busiest city in Sri Lanka. Get a feel for how the city functions with bustling streets, and how colonial legacies successfully influence the modern lifestyle.

Day 02
Kandy

Depart to Kandy, ‘the nation’s cultural centre’. Visit the Holy Temple of the Tooth Relic, which is a World Heritage Site, protected by UNESCO. Witness the island’s eye-catching culture whilst you experience traditional Kandyan dance, featuring colourful costumes.

Day 03
Mahiyanganaya

Witness the cultural and traditional set-up of the villages that make up this beautiful island. Explore the process of clay-making or weaving called ‘Pan’, done by the villagers. They will treat you to an amazing freshly cooked traditional rice and curry meal. No doubt, it’ll tantalize your taste buds. The next trek would be to see the magnificent waterfalls; Rathna Ella and Kaluwa Wetuna Ella.

Day 04
Mahiyanganaya

Here you’ll have firsthand experience of Sri Lanka’s indigenous people, ‘The Veddas’, and their tribal culture and habitats. Trek into the jungle and discover their way of life and ancient hunting techniques. Walk to the caves with the Veddas and prepare to be blown away with a memorable BBQ dinner and traditional Vedda dance.

Day 05
Gal Oya

Venture into Gal Oya National Park, a secret sanctuary for birds and animals. You’ll be treated to a picnic in a beautiful environment whilst enjoying the park’s natural beauty with your loved ones. Gear up for an adventurous jeep safari, where you can view a wide variety of animal species including elephants, elks, and various rare and migratory birds.

Day 06
Gal Oya

Embark on a path that will lead you deep into the midst of the forest, guided by the village chief, a descendant of the Veddas. Witness the beauty of the jungle, which was once a hunting ground that, was transformed into a dense forest. Listen to tribal songs native to Veddas as you walk through and indulge in the jungle. You may also be engrossed in the hunter-gatherer folk tales unique to the tribe.

Day 07
Gal Oya

Begin your day with a morning boat safari in the Gal Oya National Park, a rare experience. Look forward to an interesting cooking class hosted at a local place in the evening.  Undoubtedly, you’ll learn the secrets of the cuisines unique to the locals and indulge in the tantalising flavours. You’ll be travelling with your loved ones to Ella for an overnight stay.

Day 08
Ella

Start in Gal Oya, but you will soon leave and head south toward Ella where this village is located in a pristine location enveloped by magnificent tea estates. Also, you’ll be able to make a morning expedition to trek to the top of Little Adams Peak. The 360 view of Ravana mountain and the Uva southern valley is not to be missed during your morning hike.

Day 09
Departure

Whilst enjoying the sceneries of the “sandy village”, Weligama, it’s time to say goodbye to a vacation full of joyful experiences. Undoubtedly, the intimate bond with the untamed wildlife and the experiences of the tribal culture during the vacation marks the beginning of your lasting memories.
