Day 01
Negombo

Day 02
Kandy

Depart Negombo for Kandy and stop in Chilaw to pilgrimage through the ancient Munneswaram and Mannarwari temples that honour the Hindu Lord Shiva. Upon arriving in Kandy, take a brief city tour, enjoying the historic city’s features including the holy Temple of the Tooth Relic and the gorgeous Kandy Lake.

Day 04
Bandarawela

Travel to Bandarawela, a charming hilly village encircled by lush tea plantations and foggy mountains. Explore the Gayathri Pedam, a tranquil Hindu shrine honouring Goddess Gayathri and Divurumpola, which is said to be the site where Sita encountered the ‘Agni Pariksha’ in the Ramayana.

Day 05
Kataragama

En route to Kataragama, visit Ella, it’s a must-visit place for anyone seeking adventure. This charming village is well-known for its gorgeous
surroundings and cascading waterfalls. Visit the Ravana Falls which plummets from a height of over 80 meters. You cannot miss the most fascinating Ravana Caves, believed to be the demon king Ravana’s hiding place in the Ramayana tales. Once you have absorbed the beauty, continue the journey to Kataragama, respected across multi-faiths making it a significant holy site.

Day 06
Colombo

Rise early in the city of Kataragama and experience the spiritual atmosphere and its orderly regime venerations at the well-known Lord Murugan temple.

En route to Colombo, discover the unique coastal location of Ussangoda, believed to be where Hanuman landed during his search for Sita, among the Hindu devotees.

To round up the significance of the Ramayana Tale, you will also stop by the following important places. Rumassala Temple in Galle, Seenigama Temple in Hikkaduwa and Sri Anjaneyar Temple in Colombo. Undoubtedly, these factful excursions will echo the story of Lord Rama, and Goddess Sita.
