After arriving on this beautiful island, you’ll be heading towards Kandy – hilltop, the last capital kingdom of the Sinhalese monarchy. On this day, wake up in the centre of Kandy and unwind at your accommodation. On your Kandy city tour, you will view the Royal Botanical Garden and Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. In the evening, there is a Kandyan fire dance and devil performance to watch.
Your journey to Nuwara Eliya popularly referred to as Little England will commence on the third day. You will hike through the forest and to the summit of Ambuluwawa at the Biodiversity Complex. You can enjoy Kitulgala White Water Rafting if that’s your preference (optional). The Ramboda waterfall, a manufacturing facility, and a tea plantation are also on your itinerary. Sri Lanka, known for its Ceylon tea, has been a source of happiness for people all over the world for more than a century. When you arrive at Nuwara Eliya colonial ambience cottage-style homes and crisp winter air welcome you.
Your options for this day are to spend the mornings at Horton Plain National Park or lounge around the hotel. One of Sri Lanka’s most stunning World Heritage Sites is Horton Plains which you should see while you’re there. Additionally, visitors can take a boat safari at Gregory Lake or play golf on the 18-hole Nuwara Eliya Golf Club course.
You will get out early and head to Yala, a region well-known for its elephant and leopard populations. This is one of the most well-known wildlife parks on the island where visitors can see nearly every species of animal found in Sri Lanka. On the way to Yala, you’ll stop at Ella City and the Ravana waterfall. In addition, you will visit Yala National Park in the afternoon on a Jeep safari.
You will proceed to Bentota Beach or Hikkaduwa in the afternoon. You`ll have an opportunity to make a quick stop wreck and take some beautiful pictures of a stilt fisherman.
